How does BusinessN handle CRA compliance and tax filings?
Businessᴺ automatically calculates and remits all required federal and provincial taxes in line with CRA regulations. That includes CPP, EI, and income tax deductions, as well as employer contributions. We stay current with tax rate updates and holiday pay rules in each province, including BC’s paid sick leave laws. At year-end, we also generate and submit T4s, T4As, and ROEs electronically, ensuring your business stays compliant without the paperwork stress.

How long does setup and onboarding take?
Setting up your full payroll system typically takes 4 to 6 weeks, as we work closely with you to ensure compliance, verify data accuracy, and align with CRA requirements. This includes historical payroll imports, pay schedule configuration, and validating employee information. However, onboarding for our other modules—such as scheduling, time tracking, and reporting—can be completed in as little as 3 to 7 business days. You can also download PDFs for your records and give employees access to their slips via the self-service portal. ROEs can be issued electronically when an employee leaves, and we also provide support during year-end reconciliations to make sure everything balances correctly and on time.
